Dear Mr. Yamada, I’m writing to explain that your shipment has been delayed, and to apologize to you for this. Your order for 500 pounds of high explosives and 800 automatic rifles was received, and processed within two working days. However, when it arrived at the shipping port to be put aboard a ship, we found that the North Korean ship which was to carry the shipment had not yet arrived at our port. We have attempted to find another carrier to transport your shipment to Afghanistan. Unfortunately we have thus far not been able to find one. It seems few shipping lines are willing to sail in waters patrolled by the American navy carrying this type of cargo. We have been informed that the North Korean ship will arrive sometime in the next 48 hours and your shipment can be loaded onto it.
