見出し1就職斡旋のお願い

Begging for the job placement

〔英作文のポイント : How are you getting along these days?〕

久しぶりに友人に手紙を送る場合、相手の近況を聞いてから用件にはいるのが自然です。"How are you?"と言うより、"How are you getting along these days?"と言った方が、近況を本当に知りたいという気持ちが伝わります。

本文

Dear Mr. ○○, How are you getting along these days? I am sorry to surprise you by sending this letter but I have serious request to ask you today. My family and I will move in September to San Francisco where you live. I hope to gain many valuable experiences while working in the American publisher. Would you please find a job that a Japanese like me could manage? I am sending my resume herewith. You might feel that I was in the wrong asking such a request of you. But I have no one to look to but you. I am looking forward to receiving your generous reply to my one-sided request. With best wishes, Taro Yamada Phone:090-xxxx-xxxx E-mail: xxxxxx@xxxx.com
